The Reasons Why
As a trombonist with over twenty years playing experience it occurred to me just how much money I have invested in mouthpieces and pouches over the years, these mouthpieces even with the greatest care all get damaged somehow. Naturally over time the mouthpiece plating whether it be silver or gold will wear on both the rim and shank, but where do all the small dents and scratches come from ?. Almost all of these come from poor storage.

The Solution
In 2005 I decided to make a mouthpiece case that would ultimately protect the mouthpiece when not in use. Through careful material choice and design the prototype M-TUBE was born. The prototype has been in service for three years and has proven to be very successful with no dents or scratches only natural wear to the plating, which is inevitable.

The M-TUBE offers stylish features and superb protection that will out last any other pouch or case in the market place today. This was achieved by constructing it from specialist plastic developed so that it is soft enough not to scratch and hard enough to protect the mouthpiece. Unlike others cases it's permeable to water and spital which means it can be cleaned with warm soapy water to keep it in great condition and also preventing the growth of bugs or mould.

Following many requests for mouthpiece cases from other musician's, in 2007 I decided to form Lyncol Products and make these superb cases available for musicians worldwide - such was the demand I developed this web site so they can easily be ordered on-line and shipped to you direct. The mouthpiece cases are designed to fit the mouthpiece securely with a range of steps to support and protect the mouthpiece when not in use. New for 2008 - Iroko Hardwood Collection
I decided to expand the M-TUBE range to give the case a more rustic feel.
To achieve this I used a hardwood known as Iroko which is a member of the Teak family. All the outside dimensions of the Hardwood case are slightly larger to provide extra strength.
After machining and polishing, the wood is coated in a natural clear bees wax to help seal the wood grain so that it is protected and is resistant to moisture. As a result all the hardwood cases have their own character and each is unique. Unfortunately there is no Life Time Guarantee offered with this product but due to the increased dimension's and wall thickness I would is expected this case to last for years.
